Women on strike - go and take men with you
On June 14, 1991, women in Switzerland went on strike. Rather symbolic, but nevertheless a historic event! After 28 years, a new edition is necessary. Because the central demands of that time have still not been met: Equal pay, fair representation in management positions, protection against violence and discrimination. terre des hommes switzerland supports the demands of the women's strike.

The big football festival World Cup 2018 is coming closer. Football fever is also rising in the terre des hommes schweiz team. This has also to do with the fact that the alternative football scrapbook tschutti heftli is once again our partner. This is no coincidence, because sport and football are important means of reaching young people.
OPY's - Who are they and why do we need them?
The successful work of terre des hommes schweiz is based among other things on the methods we use. As a pioneer in the methods of psychological and social support and youth participation, it is important to us to ensure a consistently high quality in their application. For this reason, terre des hommes schweiz appointed three people responsible for methods, the Officers for PSS and Youth Participation, a year ago.
Executive pay - where we are transparent
In January, the K-Tipp criticised the lack of transparency in the salaries of managing directors of Swiss NGOs as well as the high salary level. terre des hommes schweiz was not asked. The public anger caused by the K-Tipp has also reached us. We would therefore like to clarify matters: The manager's salary is no secret to us and is significantly below the industry average.

On Monday 07 August we received the news that Jaime Dambo Junior, our coordinator in Mozambique, had passed away. He had worked for terre des hommes switzerland for more than three years. We mourn and thank him for his dedicated work. Our condolences go to his family.

In order to reach new donors, we take to the streets. We are currently on the road in the Zurich region and advertise our projects at the front door.
