imagine festival 2017: discrimination restricts!

Since it became clear at the end of last year that the Barfüsserplatz would be rebuilt, the team of imagine had to rethink. A new festival place had to be found. The young people made a virtue out of necessity and that's why the imagine festival starts this Friday in the harbour area. A place like made for this occasion.

Only a few more hours (5 pm tomorrow) and the imagine festival 2017 will start at a new location this year. The big festival will now take place in the Holzpark Klybeck in the harbour area of Basel. In cooperation with the existing cultural and gastronomic institutions in Holzpark Klybeck, a wide range of events will be staged in a young, emerging quarter. Once again, the festival shines with a rich and varied music programme, which gives above all rising newcomers from Switzerland and abroad the opportunity to present themselves.

Remarkable performance by young people
We, terre des hommes schweiz, as the supporting organisation, are as always very proud of the performance of the young people who are organising this highlight in Basel's calendar of events themselves. Although the annual festival of imagine is not the only activity of our project imagine, with 30 000 visitors it is the most outstanding of all. Every year it is impressive anew what the team of imagine young people can accomplish all by themselves.

Photo box for all
This year again, terre des hommes schweiz will have a stand and contribute to the colourful festival programme. We have come up with something new for the popular Fotobox. What that is, we leave open here. Under the festival motto "discrimination restricts", all visitors can have their own photo taken free of charge. We are looking forward to your visit!
The festival programme and other useful information such as the seating plan can be found on our festival page: www.terredeshommesschweiz.ch/imagine17
