However, they often fail to take responsibility for the impact of their activities beyond national borders. terre des hommes schweiz is actively committed to ensuring that companies worldwide respect human rights and comply with environmental standards.
Western Sahara has been occupied by Morocco since 1975 – the last unresolved colonial conflict in Africa. The Saharawis live either in harsh conditions in refugee camps or in the occupied territory, where they are exposed to human rights violations on a daily basis. We campaign for their rights, support education and youth projects and raise awareness of this forgotten conflict.
