Videos, streams and blogs also play an increasingly important role in development information work. To facilitate access to such web resources, Alliance Sud has developed a multimedia portal with many videos and links to other web resources.

The online portal designed by the Alliance Sud documentation centres in Bern and Lausanne contains over 100 videos in each language. They are constantly updated and are clearly grouped according to ten topics. These range from energy and agriculture, culture and migration to raw materials and the economy. The videos, which average five to ten minutes in length, cover a variety of information needs and are mostly in German or French.
In addition, the portal offers many references to other multimedia web resources such as podcasts and video / audio streams, infographics and caricatures, photos and blogs. This service was designed in cooperation with the Information Management Section of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
