The QR deposit slip comes

The QR invoice will replace the red and orange payment slips by September 30, 2022 at the latest. terre des hommes schweiz introduced the system at the beginning of the new year.

Have you already received a QR invoice? The QR code simplifies the issuing and payment of invoices. It contains all important payment information and is digitally readable. In the future, the QR bill will replace the previous red and orange payment slips.

Swiss financial institutions have already adapted their mobile and e-banking solutions so that invoice recipients can conveniently scan their QR invoices and pay them at the touch of a button. This saves time and minimizes sources of error. The QR bill can still be paid at the post office/bank counter and by means of a remuneration order.

How to donate with the QR deposit slips

You can also use the QR deposit slips to support our project work with young people in Africa and Latin America via the usual channels such as post office counter, e-banking, bank or postal order. The easiest way to donate is via e-banking or with your mobile banking app. Simply scan the QR code with your smartphone or laptop camera and trigger the donation. Please note that previous standing orders must be re-recorded with the information on the QR deposit slip.

We are aware that such a change is not only met with joy. Nevertheless, we hope that you will continue to support our projects. With the QR deposit slips our administrative effort decreases, thus your donation will be even more effective.

Many thanks for your support!

Statement on the police action of 25.11.22 against unauthorized demonstration in Basel

On Friday, November 25, an unauthorized demonstration in Basel ended violently. After about 200 people gathered on the Theaterplatz around 7 p.m. on the occasion of the International Day against Violence against Women, the Basel City Cantonal Police used various means such as rubber bullets to break up the demonstration. According to the police, dialogue with the demonstrators had been sought beforehand. It seems grotesque: On the same day, the cantonal police went public with the campaign "Halt Gewalt" (Stop Violence) - and on the same evening, they reacted with violence to the demonstrators, who drew attention to the same problems.

Attention: Danger of confusion!

We would like to point out that the cardboard advertising that is currently being dropped into mailboxes does not come from us, but from Terre des hommes- Kinderhilfe weltweit. In Switzerland there are three completely independent organizations with the same name: Terre des Hommes Suisse, Terre des hommes - Kinderhilfe weltweit, from which the advertisement in question originates, and terre des hommes schweiz. We therefore ask that feedback on the advertising not be sent to us. Further information on the three different organizations can be found here.
