Basel city walks with young refugees

Invitation:
Do you know how young refugees experience our city? In which places are they staying and why? With city tours, young refugees and young people from our Swiss youth project explore together the city in which they live, but rarely meet each other in everyday life.

Through their accommodation and access to specific educational opportunities, young refugees move almost exclusively in an environment of people who are in a similar life situation to their own. Exchange and contact with young people from Switzerland is difficult. However, they are very interested in contacts with the Swiss population. This is why terre des hommes schweiz and the International Social Service (SSI) together with the young people from imagine developed the idea of the city tours. These offer young people with a refugee background and young people from Switzerland - as well as the people of Basel - the chance to meet and exchange ideas.

The very first public tour of the city will take place on 30 June: You are cordially invited!
