Against indifference with Social Pay Per View

The vernissage on Thursday ( 12.06.) was also the starting signal for the exhibition Copa>Demo>Video>Stream and the first Social Pay Per View in Switzerland, which is connected to the World Cup. Both have started with success.

On Thursday the 13.06.2014 at 20 o'clock, our exhibition with the name Copa>Demo>Video>Stream was opened with a vernissage. Various speeches were held at the opening of the exhibition, including one by Ueli Mäder, Professor of Sociology at the University of Basel and Professor at the University of Applied Sciences for Social Work (FHNW).
In the field of tension of the major event
Between FIFA dictation and media hype, euphoria and street fighting: Copa>Demo>Video>Stream stages the controversial perspectives in the field of tension of the big event. The exhibition was created in cooperation with the Swiss Sports Museum and is part of the public viewing cultural programme "Backyard Brazil 2014".
Conscious action against indifference
Following the end of the vernissage, not only was the opening game kicked off, but also the first Social Pay Per View by far for Switzerland. Social Pay Per View is an initiative of Regula Stämpfli and Philippe Wampfler, who want to counter the uncommented football madness with a conscious action. The arbitrariness and ruthless enrichment of FIFA cannot be countered by a boycott. Social Pay Per View, on the other hand, allows everyone to set an example.
strengthen strengths
The idea is to donate to the citizens' committees supported by us at (preferably) every game we watch. With just a donation of five francs per game (SMS with WMsocialview 5 to the short number 339), people can be given the opportunity to better defend themselves against the injustices in Brazil. With every donation you strengthen the forces of Brazilians in the citizens' committees.
Social Pay Per View meets with interest
Fortunately, the idea of Social Pay Per View has already aroused a lot of interest. For example, the sports and music bar subrosa, which will donate ten percent of its income on matchdays to Social Pay Per View. We would like to thank subrosa very much for their commitment!
