"Together we are strong" - this is the motto of the artist and curator, Priska Medam. This motto was also reflected in the charity art exhibition, which took place from 21 to 23 March 2014 at the Basel Art Center. The exhibition Mixed Art offered a successful mixture of art, music, culinary delights and benefit.

The renowned painter Priska Medam invites you to the 2nd Mixed Art Basel next weekend. In addition to her own paintings, nine other artists will be showing their works at this charity exhibition in an upscale ambience. Part of the proceeds will go to terre des hommes schweiz.

At the beginning of the Advent season, children in grades 4 to 6 in the old town of Winterthur collected money for the project "Support for AIDS orphans" in Tanzania. terre des hommes schweiz would like to thank not only these pupils.
On Wednesday, SRF3 made a stop in Basel with its fundraising campaign "Every Rappen Counts" and broadcast from 4 to 8 pm directly from Münsterplatz. Also present was terre des hommes schweiz: Anyone who had the time and inclination to do so could have a look at our stand.
To make visible and give a face to the work of housewives without a regular residence status, a working world that lies largely in the shadows: This was the aim of the initiators of the campaign "No female domestic worker is illegal" supported by terre des hommes switzerland with a picture and video competition. The winners have now been chosen.
As part of the "Destination Unknown" campaign, Terre des Hommes - Children's Aid and terre des hommes Switzerland invited to the "Hart an der Grenze" conference in Bern on 4 November 2013. At the conference, the speakers and participants explored the question of how young migrants can be better protected.

A good year ago, terre des hommes schweiz presented its new website. Now the visual appearance has also been completely renewed: The old logo is no longer needed after 20 years and has been redesigned. With the addition of "Perspectives for young people" it becomes clear that terre des hommes schweiz is the only relief organisation in Switzerland that is primarily committed to young people.
Since the end of apartheid, the question of access to land and redistribution has remained almost unanswered. With the fact that agricultural land has become a globally contested resource, this question has become even more acute. A conference of the Campaign for Debt Relief and Compensation in Southern Africa (KEESA) is dealing with the tension between the right to land and the right to possession in the hands of a few people.
The young people of imagine experienced a special honour last week: With the schappo, the canton of Basel-Stadt honoured their commitment in everyday life for a more open society. The commission especially likes the participatory approach of imagine. Year after year, the young people show that their commitment has an impact.
